MAXIM — a Spagni manual lever-operated corking machine for sealing Magnum bottles and containers larger than 0.75 litres. It is primarily used with flat corks.
How it works
Chrome-plated steel jaws compress the cork when the operator lowers the lever and insert it into the neck of the bottle. The bottle rests on a 170 mm diameter turntable, whilst the machine itself rests on three supports, making it stable. It differs from the wider SUPERMAXIM model in its simpler design: it has no foot pedal or wheels, but features a compact base measuring 460 × 670 mm.
