Approximate calculation using a simplified model: for designing equipment and process modes, consult a technologist.

What the calculator computes

Shows the parameters of humid air from temperature and relative humidity: humidity ratio, dew point, wet-bulb temperature, enthalpy and density. In the second mode it calculates how much air and heat are needed to evaporate a given amount of water in a dryer.

The formulas are Magnus for the saturation vapour pressure and standard psychrometric relations at atmospheric pressure. Heat losses of the dryer and air recirculation are not taken into account.

The calculations are approximate: they help to assess the process and compare options, but do not replace a process design and trials on a specific raw material. This section is for reference only and contains no commercial offers.
