Spagni FOR WAX wax-sealing machine
FOR WAX — Spagni bench-top machines for applying a wax or rubber-lacquer capsule to the neck of a bottle by immersion in a molten mass. Available in 1, 3 and 6-bottle models.
Principle of operation
A group of bottles is manually tilted so that their necks are immersed in the molten wax; rotation starts automatically when the lever is raised. The bottle rotates in the molten wax, ensuring that the wax forms an even layer over the stopper and neck. The temperature of the molten wax is constant and controlled by a thermostat. In the horizontal position, there is a drain to allow excess wax to run off. Fans or pneumatic cooling accelerate the drying of the capsules. The FOR WAX 1 has a 5-litre tank, whilst the FOR WAX 3 and 6 have 15-litre tanks; the FOR WAX 3 can accommodate three tanks, allowing three colours to be used simultaneously.
