Spagni CAVIT Capsuling Machine
CAVIT — a Spagni manual capsuler with two levers for crimping aluminium capsules onto bottles, demijohns and barrels. Available in sizes ranging from D18 to D78.
How it works
The capsule is placed over the neck of the container, and the levers crimp it in place using a spring: a specific size is required for each capsule size. The smaller CAVIT 18–35 sizes are designed for pre-cut aluminium capsules for bottles, whilst CAVIT 45–78 is designed for tear-off (a strappo) capsules for demijohns, casks and barrels of 20–54 litres. It differs from CAVITROL in that the clamping is performed by a spring rather than an adjustable roller.

How does CAVIT differ from CAVITROL? CAVIT crimps using a spring to a single size, whilst CAVITROL uses a rotating roller that is adjustable across a range.
How do I choose the right size? By the diameter of the cap: there is a separate CAVIT model for each size.
