Juice dilution and blending by Brix

How much water, sugar or juice to add to reach the required Brix: concentrate dilution, blending, sweetening.

Approximate calculation using a simplified model: for designing equipment and process modes, consult a technologist.

What the calculator computes

Calculates how much water, sugar or another solution must be added to obtain the required Brix: diluting concentrate to drinking juice, sweetening syrup, blending two juices, diluting puree and paste.

Enter the mass and Brix of the main solution, choose what you add and the target Brix. The result is the mass of the addition, the mass of the mix and its approximate volume. The calculation assumes that dry matter in the mix is conserved.

The calculations are approximate: they help to assess the process and compare options, but do not replace a process design and trials on a specific raw material. This section is for reference only and contains no commercial offers.
