Chocolate moulding line simulator

Animated line: depositor, moulds on a belt, a cooling tunnel with three zones; readiness of the pieces, throughput and refrigeration.

What the calculator computes

An animated moulding line: the depositor pours chocolate into the moulds, the train of moulds travels through a cooling tunnel with three air zones, and the colour and setting of the pieces depend on their temperature. The zone temperatures can be dragged, and the belt speed is changed with a slider.

Result: whether the piece cools down before demoulding, throughput, tunnel length, refrigeration load, the risk of condensation and of thermal shock. The calculation is available after sign-in; the model is approximate.

Calculation example

Dark chocolate: 100 g bars, 48 m tunnel

Input data

Chocolate type
Чорний
Belt speed
2.4 m/min
Tunnel length
48 m
Product thickness
10 mm

Result

Pieces per hour calculation
9,792 pcs
Chocolate per hour calculation
979.2 kg
Core temperature at the exit calculation
17.3 °C
Cooling load calculation
19.8 kW

Approximate simulation using a simplified model.

The calculations are approximate: they help to assess the process and compare options, but do not replace a process design and trials on a specific raw material. This section is for reference only and contains no commercial offers.
