Energy balance of a juice and puree line

How much steam, cooling, electricity and water a processing line needs per hour and per tonne of finished product: heating, evaporation, cooling.

What the calculator computes

Calculates how much steam, cooling, electricity and water a fruit and berry processing line needs per hour and per tonne of finished product: heating and pasteurization with recovery, evaporation by number of effects, cooling before filling.

The result is given as ranges: some of the norms (electricity, water) are set by empirical intervals. The calculation is available after sign-in; the method is not published on the page.

Approximate calculation; the ranges reflect the uncertainty of the empirical norms.

The calculations are approximate: they help to assess the process and compare options, but do not replace a process design and trials on a specific raw material. This section is for reference only and contains no commercial offers.
