MAMMUT — a Spagni semi-automatic electromechanical corking machine for capping bottles with uniform corks. It is designed for wineries and bottling plants where a consistent operating rate is required without manual effort, and the corks are fed from a hopper.

How it works

The cork is gripped by four stainless steel jaws and inserted into the bottle neck; operation is controlled by a dual-button system, ensuring the operator’s hands are protected. Unlike the pneumatic AIRSUG and AIR RASO models, the MAMMUT is electromechanically driven and mounted on a wheeled trolley, which is included in the package. This is the only corking machine in the range that can be fitted with an inerting system: the PP version features a nitrogen supply that displaces oxygen from the bottle prior to corking, whilst the VP version also includes a vacuum function.

Frequently asked questions

Can the MAMMUT be powered from a single-phase mains supply? According to the manufacturer, the supply voltage is specified as 220 V or 220/380 V depending on the source, so the power supply type must be specified when ordering.

What are the differences between the P, PP and VP versions? P is the basic machine; PP additionally includes a nitrogen supply kit; VP includes both a vacuum and a nitrogen supply kit.

Are 30 mm diameter tubes suitable? The standard configuration is designed for tubes with dimensions d26/30 × h50 mm; a kit for d30 mm tubes must be ordered at the same time as the machine.
