Spagni FAMILY diatomaceous earth filter
The Spagni FAMILY diatomaceous earth filter is a tabletop filter for clarifying wine and other food-grade liquids. It is suitable for home winemakers, small-scale producers and laboratories.
How it works
The liquid is fed by an electric pump. Filtration takes place through a polyester fabric bag containing a layer of diatomaceous earth or cellulose fibre, and/or through a stack of round cardboard discs with a diameter of 18 cm. The bag is also suitable for coarse filtration of freshly pressed must, whilst the cardboard discs allow for final filtration prior to bottling, depending on the model. The number of cardboard discs is 10 or 25. From the 200FS model onwards, the filter features a shorter bag (6 m), Ø15 mm fittings and is designed for a smaller volume of product.

Applications
The filter is used for wine; a separate version, FAMILY OIL, is available for oil products. For other liquids, please check with your manager. Diatomaceous earth, cellulose and cardboard of the required grade must be purchased separately.
